An Apple a Day

An apple...with a worm. Yes, I know. Random.
Happy Thursday! I went to the track yesterday after work. Felt good to get out in the fresh air.

My friend's sons

A drawing I did for a friend. A while back. Cute brothers.
Happy Monday! May everyone be healthy and never sick again!  That is my wish.

My Bumper

So when my brother Jason was little, he was so aware of everything around him. Extremely aware. Like we would watch a movie and he would be turned around the whole time watching how the projector worked. It was amazing.
Happy Sunday! Off to my nephews' primary program in a bit.

Still not completely on the "once a day illustration" post

...so it is a little more sporadic at the moment... but here is another illustration...This is my sister Tracey. Dancing around as a young child.
BTW, today was a good day. A cleansing day. Jason's kids and former wife are moving into my mom's house this month. So we literally had to attack Jason's room and clean it all out. Along with the other spare bedroom and the family room. So that Stef can move stuff in. It's been a hard process having to say goodbye to Jason's earthly possessions. But we also know that he is healthy now and safe from the disease that ravaged his body and his life. We will FOREVER miss him and will forever miss his hugs and nutty sense of humor. But we also know that he is always around us. And that he will always watch over us and protect us. Love you, Jase. Miss you so much at some moments.
It was a long and hard day. But a good day. Now to rest a little since I am not totally healed inside from this sickness.

The term "sick as a dog"

You know the term "sick as a dog"? Well, the way I have been feeling for the last week makes me wonder if there has EVER been a dog that ever got that sick? And anyway, have you seen many sick dogs in your lifetime? I think they are generally healthy.
Anyway, I am glad to report that I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel... I still bark (like a dog) at times with this cold, but I am finally-slowly, mind you-almost feeling human! I went to work yesterday, since being off from work starting last Wednesday, and can I tell you, I was proud that I hung in there...but could there have EVER been a longer day in my life? The minutes felt like hours to me. I dragged myself out to my car and was so grateful when I drove up to my house. I went right up to my bed and laid down completely exhausted.
I am only hoping and praying that today goes better. So, whoever came up with that term, "sick as a dog", I wonder what dog or dogs you encountered. Or maybe they were your dogs and you fed them pure chocolate every day of their lives (a known fact is that chocolate makes dogs sick).
Anyway, I don't want to be sick "as any animal", let alone a person anymore!

I'm Back! Finally!

I was a sickie from Wednesday through the weekend. So grateful to be feeling better finally. Yay! Anyway, I had no energy to post each day on my blog. I just slept a lot. So I broke my streak of posting an illustration a day. Ah, well!
So, here is a cartoon I drew for my sister's son for his presentation on the pony express. The drawing I did was for the kids in his class to color.

A pencil sketch for a book I did not too long ago

The preliminary sketch. I like their big heads, little facial features, and skinny appendages.
Happy Tuesday! Still getting used to the time change. Why would I be affected when I got an extra hour of sleep on Sunday morning? And the big question...why do we have to have daylight savings? Let us all unite and be like Arizona and have no time change! Ah well. I will now resume my morning nap at my desk... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

My Grandpa Biggar

This is a drawing I did of my mom's dad. He was born on Prince Edward Island. Pretty cool! I want to go there someday. Fun to be related to L.M.!
Happy Monday! Lots to do at work...I hope to accomplish a lot this week.
