Hail to Tuesday!

Sometimes life and all that we need to do each day seems overwhelming. At least to me. But I also know that all works out. I just need to be a better scheduler of my time. Maybe next week that will happen... ; )

Here is a little card of our friend Carol. Happy birthday yesterday, Carol! I sacrificed myself to the mosquitoes last night to wish you a happy birthday. ; ) Which I was glad to do...yes, mosquitoes love me-sadly. Hope you have a good year, Carol!
Happy Tuesday! And let's all remember to breathe.

"Light"-ening Monday

Wow- on the way to work, lightening kept lighting up the sky and it is continuing. The clouds are moving super fast. I guess the sky is having a party...but if it is- it is above the clouds because it is awfully dark to our view. Now there is pouring rain, VERY loud thunder, and very dark skies....Oh, now the sky is clearing...Yes!

Don't you love it how I am being the weather reporter? ; ) Obviously I don't have much to say today.

Crazy busy weekend. I did not accomplish everything I hoped to. Sigh. But I got a chunk done. So that is good.

A busy week ahead.

Funny & Sweet Moments

So when I get to the track, which sadly is a bit sporadic at times, I notice an older little gentleman that just sits in his car and reads for about a half hour/45 minutes. I only see him in the mornings.

As I did my workout at the track this morning, there he was again. Reading away. It got me thinking about him. And I hit upon a scenario...maybe he tells his wife he is "going" to the track every morning. Which he does. The only problem being that he doesn't actually make use of the track. Pretty funny.

I wonder if his wife is just so proud of him for "going" to the track each morning. Those little white lies... ; )

Also, I had to add a sweet little Wy story. His mom, my sister, just had a birthday yesterday. We had a fun lunch and she opened her present from me and mom. Wy has just recently had a birthday but he proudly stated that his birthday is coming soon too and that me and Mom are invited to attend. He also added that he wants Jase to be there. Of course that became a tender moment for us. A few tears as always were shed because of course it reminded us that our Jason is away from us right now and how we miss the real Jase. My sister then reminded Wy that Jase is near us. It was just a sweet moment. A very tender moment. Our cute little 4 year old.

Love you, Jase. Miss you like crazy!

Friday Freedom

Well, not really. I have a lot to get done at home today. I'm working on a book. I also keep thinking in my mind what I need to do for my work assignments.

I'm up early. But I always am. I need to get to the track and then schedule out my day. And accomplish a lot. Go team!

The temple was amazing last night. Just a great place to be. Beyond explanation.

It's been a good week. Now to appreciate the weekend.

It's Thursday and it is whirling by!

SOOO much to do today. Little projects here and there at work today. Hard to keep it all straight. I hope to get through today in one piece! ; ) Redesigns here, new sets there, and breathing in between. And in the back of my mind wanting to work on a project at home. A drawing project.

At least I have the temple tonight. Where I can really breathe.

Happy whirly Thursday!

(no pic today. no time.)

Happy Wednesday!

It's Wednesday. It's the morning. And I'm more awake. A miracle.
I need to work faster. Especially on my home projects. Rhythm, rhythm...get into one already, me!

I love this. And it's a good reminder.
No power arms parents of wayward children more than temple covenants and ordinances. But sadly, we often leave them latent, underdeveloped or misunderstood. If we had any idea of the power available to us, nothing could keep us from the temple.

Too Tuesday

I am truly amazed at how fast mornings come. Didn't I just barely put my head on my pillow and close my eyes?

Happy Tuesday! Get a lot done today. I hope to!

Hoohoo Monday & Ouchie Saturday!

Hoohoo to Monday!
A contemplative weekend. A busy weekend. Didn't get as much done as I wanted to accomplish. But that's okay. I left the weekend feeling good but still wishing I had gotten more done.

But I do have newly cleaned carpet. Which is so nice. But I have an owchie story to share...The plastic mat that lays on the floor under my computer chair hurt me on Saturday. OWWWWWCH! The pointy side was facing up on the floor. I did that because I had to lay it down because it had been laying on the top of my bed while the carpet cleaner guy was there. So the carpet wasn't quite dry enough. So I laid it on the floor face down (so that I could use my bed to go to sleep) to let the carpet dry a tiny bit more without the pointies sticking through. So then that next morning, before I had turned it over...I totally spaced it and proceeded to walk over it in my bare feet. It was like I must have been in a trance because even though it hurt, I couldn't make myself jump off of it. Ouch Ouch Ouch! Pretty crazy. I checked for piercings in the bottom of my feet. Phew- no! But my feet throbbed for a bit.

And if that wasn't bad enough--I did it again!!! Later in the day. But this time I realized that I needed to jump off in a shorter timespan. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH ME?
At that "point" I finally turned the mat over. I can laugh about it now but at the time I was so shocked that I did that. And twice!

Thursday came

Happy Thursday! Here's a little card I made for a baby shower today. I usually don't post till after the event...but I did it early this time. I drew the little outfit on the baby that I am giving the baby, obviously. So I guess that means the mom can't return it. Hah. Kidding. Though I did forget the gift receipt. Oops. So I hope the expectant mom likes it okay.
Weird day. About 5 people were asked to leave the company yesterday. Nope, not me. I am grateful. Since I am by no means independently wealthy. Nor, of course, made close to the salaries some of them must have been making. My heart goes out to them.

La la la Wednesday

Hello, Wednesday! How are you doing? ; )

Here's a flippy cat to start your day. Hope it's a good one!
Make it a good day, everyone!

Another great quote that my friend Fer found...

"Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying.
There is help and happiness ahead.
Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven.
But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come.
It will be all right in the end.
Trust God and believe in good things to come."
