Happy Thanksgiving...yesterday and always.

It reminds me to be thankful every day...whether it is Thanksgiving day or not.

I am thankful for my parents, my siblings, and their families. I am thankful for the gospel in my life. I am thankful for a job and all that I learn. I am thankful to do service in my assignment at church and at the temple too. I need to keep reminding myself that I am where I am because that is how it is supposed to be right now in my life. I really am very thankful but I do feel a little odd at times. Two of my nieces informed me that I am their weird aunt. I think ; ) they said it lovingly but it does remind me that I don't quite fit in or at least I don't feel like I do. But there is a purpose for everyone and every situation we are in.

But I do know this...I am a child of God and that is all that matters. But I could do with being thankful for more in my life...if it ever works out that way.

P.S. I am also very thankful that I didn't freeze at the Turkey Race Thursday morning...but then I did wear 6 layers or shirts and a jacket and mittens and a hat and a scarf. and two layers or sweat pants. Other people froze, but I didn't. Though I know I looked like the kid from "The Christmas Story". Not too easy to run with that many layers on but I kept warm.
